What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Lead position at Rite Staff Inc?
Creating routes daily for our drivers. Each route consists of 8-12 stops, with 10-15 daily routes. Routes must be formatted to fit into a schedule promptly that will give proper drive time for our drivers and give our customers their delivery within the proper time window.
Creating time windows to indicate what time our customers will receive their order. Time windows are set up as a 2-hour time frame.
Setting up service times. This is the amount of time each driver receives to perform the job. Service times can vary between each job, depending on the items that are being delivered.
Sending out time windows to customers and verifying their responses. Certain time windows may not work for customers, so adjustments may need to be made for a quick turnaround.
Schedule orders from Scheduling Hub. Go through the orders that are ready to schedule (all items have been received) and research orders that require more information before scheduling (items without locations).
Distribute picking sheets for each route for the following day. Research such as going through the inbound manifests and/or looking through emails will need to be completed for accuracy.
Assign drivers to each route and get extra labor if required due to item weight or other factors, such as items going up several floors and other exceptions.
Support the team with any major requests or escalations.
Hours: 7:00 am-3:30 pm; overtime may be required
Base Pay: $25-$26 per hour
