Position Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and compensation. This position also assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR plans, processes, policies, and programs aligned with goals for the organization, including talent management, employee relations, goal alignment, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and communications.
- Assist with succession health, attraction, development, and retention of each department’s workforce, ensuring a pipeline for future growth.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret HR related data and report on metrics that drive continuous improvement, including overtime, staffing to need, engagement, and other areas as needed to support decision making.
- Work with managers to establish communication plans, establishing consistent messages, and improving upon employee communications processes.
- Administer performance management program providing tools and processes that effectively measure and reward desired results while ensuring supervisory effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Consult managers on human resources policies, procedures, and employee related situations.
- Manage employee relations including all employment policies, disciplinary actions, and performance management; ensuring compliance with all HR related regulatory requirements as well as state and federal laws.
- Partner with HR Generalist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees to create tools/resources for new and current employees on bank practices and company culture.
- Responsible for managing Paylocity system and completing applicable role change tickets through employee access system for employees as hires, position changes, and terminations occur.
- Compliance reporting, including EEO-1 and Vets 100.
- Responsible for administering FMLA and maintaining appropriate paperwork.
- Intake unemployment claims and submit any necessary paperwork.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all company records and information.
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field, and will consider equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role.
- Knowledge in human resource management and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Management experience overseeing direct reports.
- HR certification i.e. SHRM/PHR.
- Skills in building strong working relationships with coworkers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to analyze data and trends.
