Position Summary
The Marketing Director is responsible for the marketing and communications processes of the facility(s). He or she manages community census by initiating and maintaining relations with community organizations, hospitals, and other referral sources in order to generate admissions to the facility(s). The Marketing Director works closely with all levels of the organization to ensure the facility(s) image and reputation are stellar and works in line with company values to make River Bend Healthcare the desired option for all prospective residents, patients and their families. They are a Culture Ambassador! They model the core values of the company personally, leading by example, and ensure all team members exemplify the core values of the company at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Increase occupancy in the facility(s) by developing meaningful personal relationships with potential residents, their families, and professional partners through our commitment to prospect-centered selling; Liaison between hospital and facility(s) for admitting appropriate patients
- Manage, lead, and build great relationships with our referral database and through targeted outreach programs and events
- Be responsible for touring facility(s) and leading prospects through entire sales process by creating trust, building relationships, and overcoming obstacles
- Create and implement events to draw prospects to the facility(s)
- Conduct pre-admission assessment with prospective patient and responsible party at hospital, assisted living, etc.; Review nurses notes, medications, labs as needed to determine proper patient admission into the facility(s)
- Follow admission process with appropriate notifications to responsible parties
- Host marketing events monthly within the community
- Perform any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required
- Serve as manager on duty at the facility as assigned
- Adheres to facility safety and covid prevention guidelines
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of necessary information and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, departmental head meetings and other center meetings and sits on required committees.
Residents Rights
- Is aware of, and adheres to, Resident’s Bill of Rights and Confidentiality of Resident Information
Staff Education
- Attend and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings to maintain current certification and as managed by regulatory agencies and company policies.
Qualifications
- College degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in long-term care/skilled nursing environment preferred; Knows how to create and drive the marketing culture at the facility level through positive influence
- Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e., physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in carrying out the admissions process
- Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary in carrying out the admissions process for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro & dementia, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable
- Possesses a valid Texas Driver’s license and has transportation available for job related travel.
- Demonstrates growth in the profession through community involvement and continuing education.
- Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and possesses sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks.
Travel
- As required to attend company meetings and workshops and marketing duties
