Housekeeping Director – Full-Time, Dayshift

River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Director to join our skilled nursing facility in Evansville, IN . This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, dayshift position.
Job Summary :
The Housekeeping Director is responsible for implementing and overseeing housekeeping procedures in a cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities :
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility and housekeeping department.
Ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
Develop, implement, and maintain infection control, waste disposal, and Universal Precautions policies to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
Conduct weekly inspections to ensure compliance with quality control measures.
Oversee laundry services , including dryer line disposal, proper handling of resident clothing, and distribution in accordance with facility policies.
Supervise the washing, drying, folding, and returning of resident clothing while ensuring proper maintenance and repair as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED preferred .
Basic computer knowledge is desirable.
Minimum of 3 years of experience , preferably in a supervisory role.
Prior experience in medical or long-term care settings is a plus.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
