Position Overview
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to our nonprofit clients by providing grant writing, donor engagement, fundraising coaching, and marketing/social media guidance. You will work remotely and independently, collaborating with our team to develop compelling grant proposals, strengthen donor relationships, and boost nonprofit visibility through effective marketing strategies—all aligned with our clients' values and goals.
Responsibilities
- Donor Engagement & Fundraising Coaching
- Develop Donor Outreach Strategies: Advise nonprofit clients on effective ways to communicate with current and prospective donors, ensuring clear mission alignment and impact storytelling.
- Evaluate Fundraising Approaches: Assess existing fundraising methods to recommend improvements and identify new revenue streams.
- Donor Relations Management: Coach clients on creating stewardship plans that maintain strong relationships with donors, including regular updates on program outcomes and impact.
- Campaign Design: Collaborate with clients to design and execute fundraising campaigns (online and offline), ensuring consistent messaging and donor-centric communications.
- Non-Profit Marketing & Social Media Coaching
- Brand Building & Content Strategy: Provide guidance on creating cohesive brand identities, content calendars, and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
- Social Media Training: Offer best practices and hands-on support for nonprofit clients to utilize platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter effectively.
- Marketing Plan Development: Help clients develop comprehensive marketing plans that align with organizational goals, including digital outreach, print materials, and event promotions.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key metrics to evaluate marketing efforts, enabling data-driven adjustments for improved engagement and reach.
- Prospecting
- Leverage existing networks and conduct research to identify new funding opportunities.
- Leverage existing networks to acquire new clients that adhere to RCGW's mission and values.
- Collaboration & Client Support
- Ongoing Consultation: Maintain regular communication with nonprofit clients to ensure timely updates on grant applications, donor relations, and marketing progress.
- Grant Proposal Development
- Collaborate with the team to understand project details and funding needs.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our objectives, strategies, and outcomes.
- Incorporate technical information accurately and effectively to demonstrate project feasibility and impact.
- Budget Development
- Work with our team to create detailed and accurate project budgets for grant proposals.
- Application Submission
- Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring all required documents and attachments are complete and accurate.
- Manage grant submission timelines to meet deadlines.
- Grant Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of grant reports, providing detailed information on project progress and outcomes.
- Self-Motivated Work Ethic
- Manage your workflow effectively, meeting deadlines and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Take the initiative to seek out professional development opportunities related to grant writing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Social Sciences, etc.).
- Strong technical writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent research abilities.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Demonstrated passion for and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or other relevant software.
- Previous grant writing or nonprofit fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
