Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of roofing projects from planning through completion. Reporting to the Installation Manager, this role involves coordinating crews, managing job site logistics, ensuring quality control, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver, detail-oriented, and skilled in project coordination within the construction or home services industry. Overnight travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Oversee multiple roofing projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with the Installation Manager, sales teams, and customers to align expectations and schedules.
- Ensure all materials, permits, and subcontractors are scheduled and available before job start dates.
On-Site Management
- Supervise job sites to ensure proper execution, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, including weather delays, material shortages, or crew issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the installation process.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance
- Conduct pre-installation site checks to verify job readiness and accuracy of work orders.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks and maintain OSHA compliance.
- Perform post-installation inspections to confirm job completion meets company standards.
Budget & Job Costing Oversight
- Monitor labor and material costs to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Track job costing accuracy and report variances to the Installation Manager.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Customer Communication & Satisfaction
- Keep customers informed on project progress, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Resolve on-site issues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Track customer satisfaction scores and proactively improve service quality.
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- EBITDA Margin: Ensure profitability through cost control and efficiency.
- Job Cost Accuracy: Maintain variance within set targets to protect margins.
- Crew Efficiency: Optimize labor productivity and job completion rates.
- Customer Satisfaction Score: Achieve 90% positive feedback.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in project management within roofing, construction, or home services.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of job costing, material management, and site logistics.
