Veterinary Assistant - Full Time

We are looking for an experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing River City Veterinary Hospital team at our new location!

Ready for an exciting opportunity to utilize and further your veterinary skills with one of the top veterinary hospitals in Richmond? We are a family-owned, multi- doctor small animal veterinary hospital in the near West End. We recently expanded to a brand new, state of the art hospital and need to expand our team as well.

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and the drive to provide the best patient and client experience! The ideal candidate would have a basic knowledge of vaccines, be familiar with some of the many preventative medications available today and have experience with veterinary terminology. Most importantly though, we are seeking someone with stellar work ethic and a cheerful personality who loves forming relationships with pets AND their people!

The available position is full time and involves three open to close shifts (7am to 630pm/730pm) and a half shift each week. The weekly half shift will be a Saturday shift twice per month. Everyone gets a weekday off every week! The position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to maneuver into and out of a kneeling position frequently to restrain larger animals.

Hourly pay is a starting rate that is commensurate with experience.
