We are seeking a Captain/Lead Server to become an integral part of our team!
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor servers and support staff adherence to all service standards.
- Supervise service of guests.
- Assist manager to ensure service standards and protocols are met by staff at all times.
- Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up.
- Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.
- Assist restaurant manager in conducting menu classes and tastings, pre-shift direction.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing through 7-shifts, to provide clear direction to staff.
- Some captain and server scheduling responsibilities.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Experience and Requirements
- 3 years of experience in an upscale, fine dining restaurant providing high-quality service.
- Great communication skills and ability to create positive personal interactions.
- A genuine eagerness to provide exceptional hospitality to all guests.
- Ability to verbalize the food and beverage menu exhibiting thorough product knowledge.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Prior experience using a Toast POS system and cash handling.
- Fine knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and cocktails.
- Organized, professional demeanor, and able to direct a small team of servers.
- Constant learner, coachable and willing to grow.
- A strong desire to be a part of a dynamic team.
