Adapted After School Instructor Salary: $13.50
Adapted After School Instructor Hours: Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30pm - 5:00pm (part time)
Adapted After School Instructor Responsibilities:
- Safely supervise and lead participants through provided daily activities
- Adapting program activities to suit each participant's needs
- Positively engage and interact with participants while encouraging positive socialization between participants
- Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper sportsmanship and bring enthusiasm to every shift
- Acknowledge different learning styles and meet the needs of each participant
- Develop strong relationships with participants and their families through communication and actions
- Provide feedback to participants and parents/guardians on individual performance
- Arrive 15 before scheduled program time to prepare equipment and set up for program to begin at scheduled start time
- Maintain confidentiality of all participants
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Adapted After School Instructor Qualifications:
- 16 years or older, preferred 18
- 1-3 yrs. experience working with people with disabilities in a recreational or educational setting
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with others
