Custodian/Housekeeper
Nazareth, PA | Part Time, M-F 5:30am - 8:30am | $13 per hour
We are seeking a Custodian/Housekeeper to help ensure that our facility spaces stay safe, fun, and clean.

What is needed for this job
- Six months or more of related experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment skills, and a positive attitude
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) helpful
- Must be 18
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintaining the upkeep of assigned areas and equipment - areas can include pool deck, sauna, and locker rooms
- May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, changing light bulbs, and general cleaning
- Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment
- Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed
- Ensures YMCA building and property are secure during shift and reports incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies
- May set up furniture for events
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned
