What is needed for this job as our Director of Private Swim Lesson Programs:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in aquatics programming
- Minimum 1-2 years in supervisory experience. Has a proven track record displaying an ability to motivate, educate, develop, and inspire others
- High degree of computer efficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products
- Previous experience with nonprofit organizations preferred
The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Director of Private Swim Lesson Programs:
- Support the member journey from casual, connected, committed by delivering high quality experiences during private and semi-private swim lessons and the scheduling process
- Serves at the main point of contact for all private swim lesson inquiries for RCY.
- Member Support through timely communication with members to answer questions, inquiries, etc. as well as processing of transitions for private lesson scheduling, renewals and troubleshooting
- Support in the interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring of new private lesson instructors
- Support other departments through providing private lesson scheduling
- Support the creation and execution of organizational Aquatics initiatives
- Communicate proactively with members and staff and instill a culture of excellence within the Aquatics department across the association
- Fosters an atmosphere that is nurturing, safe and represents the spirit of community and inclusion for all members
- Represent and promote the Y in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develop, maintain, and model collaborative relationships with community agencies in the service delivery area
- Remain current with YUSA and fitness industry service trends
- Stay highly connected to organization-wide communication. Attend department and greater organizational meetings
- Assist with and support YMCA special events
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
