River Edge is currently seeking Crisis Workers to join our team contracted to provide services in the local hospital Emergency Department.
Location/Schedule:
- Bibb County/PART-TIME - evening and weekend options.
- Monday nights 5:00 pm - 8:00 am.
- Weekends beginning Friday 5:00 pm through Monday 8:00 am (on-call).
- Divided into shifts of overnight coverage Friday 5:00 pm through Saturday 9:00 am.
Requirements:
- Must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, MH Counseling, Rehab Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy which would qualify a candidate for licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
- Fully licensed or associate licensed is strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position will be working out of the local medical hospital, primarily in the ER, completing crisis assessments on patients who present with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
- It will be the responsibility of this staff person, working with the ER MD, to determine if the patient needs inpatient placement, to facilitate that placement, and to complete the appropriate documentation.
- This position also requires excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills.
