River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups. 

River Edge Behavioral Health is actively seeking a Day Coordinator for our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department. As a Day Coordinator, the individual oversees services across numerous locations.  Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring program activities, ensuring appropriate services are provided as directed by the provider manual.  Additionally, the Day Coordinator fills in for staff, when necessary, interacts with clients, probes new skills. Monitor staff training and compliance and provide training as directed.   Administrative tasks, such as email correspondence, phone calls, and program modifications, are also part of the role. Daily schedules vary based on client needs and administrative duties.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00am- 5:00pm

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and oversee the services and supports provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Participate in the formulation of the Individual Service Plan (ISP) for delivery of all waiver services annually, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct assessments to inform and support the development of individualized service plans.
  • Supervise the implementation of high-intensity services aimed at addressing health and safety risks for individuals.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as necessary to support individuals in emergency situations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress in accordance with established treatment and care plans.
  • Advocate for clients to coordinate necessary services and address emergency situations effectively.
  • Supervise staff in the IDD Day Services program across multiple locations to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to program objectives.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid GA Driver’s License.
  • All applicants must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.
  • Provide 2 Professional references (Former employers only, no family members)
  • Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in mental health and substance abuse services and community resources.
  • Exemplify excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
