River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Full Time Customer Service Assistant Manager!
Experience-based pay ranging from: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends on a regular basis, is required.

Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Job Duties:
- Communicate with manager and share management responsibilities as assigned
- Monitor employee effectiveness, attitude, compliance to policy, and productivity and ensure efficient labor utilization while providing exceptional customer service
- Provide and improve upon a high level of customer service and communication with all customers and owners
- Participate in setting expense and labor goals for department
- Review departments financial reports (sales, labor, over/shorts, voids, cash balance) with manager
- Supervise staff alongside Manager
- Schedule staff and ensure hours worked do not exceed budget
- Conduct new staff onboarding and new staff training programs
- Identify improper behavior in progress and intervene, advise Manager of results
- Model a communicative and caring culture by consistent goal-setting, re-directing, mentoring, praising and disciplining
- Effectively delegate tasks
- Maintain opening and closing procedures for cashiers and MODs including the timely and truthful completion of the MOD evening checklist
- Perform back-up cashiering in busy periods and as needed to cover absences
- Work weekends and evenings on a regular basis
- Reconcile daily reports with cash, make regular bank deposits, and processes correctly all coupons, gift cards, etc.
- Keep all cash drawers stocked with change and get change from bank as needed
- Provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service, accurate cashiering cash handling, store security and smooth store operations

Requirements:- Prior leadership experience (1 year preferred) in a customer service setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with point of sale systems
- Able to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and frequently lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
- Computer proficiency in Windows operating system, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.
Constant (67-100%): Walking, standing, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception
Frequent (34-66%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist
