We are looking for a dedicated Sterile/Prophy/Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! If you are passionate about maintaining a sterile and hygienic environment while assisting with preventive dental treatments, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Sterilization and Infection Control: Assist in sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is prepared according to infection control protocols.
- Prophy Assistance: Support the dental hygienist during prophylaxis treatments, including scaling, cleaning, and polishing patients’ teeth.
- Patient Comfort and Care: Prepare treatment areas, assist patients in getting settled, and offer comfort and reassurance during procedures.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and disinfect dental equipment, operatories, and other areas to ensure the office remains sanitary and safe.
- Assisting with X-rays: If certified, assist with taking dental radiographs as needed.
- Organizing Instruments: Prepare instruments and materials for each procedure, ensuring everything is in its place for efficient treatment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental assistant or hygiene assistant role required (1 year).
- Knowledge of sterilization, infection control procedures, and dental equipment.
- Certification in dental radiography (if applicable).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with both patients and the dental team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
