What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Clinical Psychologist position at River Therapies?
River Therapies is a private therapy company located in the Pittsburgh, PA area. River Therapies is a sister company to River Academy of Excellence, which is a private academic school, providing services to students in grades K-8. We are committed to providing innovative, individualized, and empowering education to meet the unique needs of each and every student. River Therapies is expanding our psychology department within the Academy and Outpatient Clinic! We have opportunities for part-time or full-time Licensed Clinical Psychologists, as well as a Psychology Intern, and we hope you will join our team of dedicated professionals! The role of the Clinical Psychologist is to provide evaluations for diagnoses and complete reports for children and teenagers. You would also provide oversight and direction to a counseling team. The role of the psychology intern would be to provide pediatric evaluations and treatment sessions for small groups and 1:1 therapy support. You will be working under our Licensed Certified Clinical Psychologist. All supervision will be provided to assist with acquiring the necessary hours for obtaining your Doctorate in Clinical Psychology!
As a member of our River Academy of Excellence team and our Outpatient Therapy team, you will work with other therapeutic staff, teachers, family members, school district personnel, and report to our administration staff.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
- Clinical Psychology degree and license
- licensed in Pennsylvania
- experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviors
- excellent communication skills
- professional and positive work ethic
- Psychology interns must be in the final phase of the Clinical Psychology Doctorate program requiring internship experience and must have experience with pediatric mental health counseling, behaviors, evaluations, and report writing in a clinic setting
