Title: Human Resources Generalist

Classification: Full-time
Position Summary: Provide support for the agency's human resources operations, including, but not limited to policy development, labor relations and compliance with labor laws, employee benefits, compensation, performance, training, and other employee services.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as liaison for the agency to assist staff with day-to-day labor relations
- Execute talent acquisition activities for the agency
- Utilize and maintain the agency's human resource information system (HRIS).
- Administer the agency’s benefits program
- Process bi-weekly payroll disbursements
- Remain stationary 50% of the time.
Marginal Functions
- Assist with the development and implementation of human resource related policies and procedures.
- Assist with the benefits enrollment process.
- Implement the agency training and development plan.
- Assist with monitoring employer-employee relations on an ongoing basis.
- Provide support and HR related training to program directors, as assigned.
- Compile and submit reports within established timelines.
- Oversee wellness initiatives.
- Respond to any inquiries within a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in all required committees, conferences, meetings and training relevant to the program and/or agency.
- Any other duties as assigned.

Education
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in human resources, business administration, or human services
Experience
- Required: Two (2) years of relevant professional experience in human resources.
Employment Conditions
- Successfully clearing the background check process, which may include: criminal background check, education verification, references, drug testing, motor vehicle records, sex offender registry, Child Protective Services check, and federal grants debarred list.
- Able to travel as needed.
- Adhere to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethics.
- Business casual apparel.
Environmental Conditions
- Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to temperature changes at least fifty percent (50%) of the time.
- Prolonged sitting at a desk viewing a computer screen and keyboard typing.
- Frequent face-to-face, electronic, and virtual interactions with internal and external customers.
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- Public contact position.
- This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week following a successful 90-day review.
Physical Demands
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
