What to Expect
River Valley Marine of Lake Minnetonka is looking for experienced and energized Marine Technicians to immediately join one of the largest Marine and Powersport groups in Minnesota. We are ranked 15th in the nation by Boating Industry Magazine! We have Cobalt and Chris Craft boat lines, Bennington Pontoons, Centurion / Supreme surf boats. The only Yamaha jet boat dealer in the state. This position requires a high-level mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and computer software experience. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, reliable and has a large amount of mechanic experience. The marine technician will perform maintenance and repairs on all types of marine products. Working with a team of service advisors, fellow technicians, detailers and parts personnel. Related industries are highly encouraged to apply including agriculture, lawn and garden, automotive, small engine, RV / campers, and motorcycle. We offer company paid manufacturer training.
What You'll do
- Service new and used marine product by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing
- Set up and run up marine product
- On water testing of new and repaired boats to verify proper operation
- Complete warranty work in a timely manner.
- Complete routine service inspections and tests
- Winterize and shrink wrap boats.
- Major engine, drive-train, other related repairs
- Install electronic accessories
- Install accessories that enhance the durability and appearance of a marine product
- Utilizing available utility equipment to move marine product in and out of service bay
- Work closely with the service team to ensure a timely work completion
What You'll Bring
Schedule : We offer full-time work 52 weeks out of the year (4 : 10's off season and 5 : 8-10's in season). Most work 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (5-8s) or 6am-4 or 7am-5 (4-10s)
Compensation : based on experience, certifications, and qualifications. $30 - $50 / hour. The pay structure is a healthy base pay per hour plus an hourly billable incentive commission / piecework based on efficiency.
