What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing/Follow Up - Behavioral Health position at RIVER VALLEY COUNSELING CENTER, INC?
The Behavioral Health Follow-up Representative is responsible for the billing and follow-up of all Behavioral Health related hospital claims, including challenging denied or underpaid claims, identifying and reporting on billing and reimbursement issues and working to secure appropriate reimbursement in a timely manner.
- Responsible for timely submission of daily and monthly BH claims including Inpatient, Partial
- Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient services for all insurance payers.
- Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurance plans.
- Researching and appealing denied claims
- Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information from multiple sources.
- Responsible for timely follow-up of all outstanding Behavioral Health Claims including Inpatient,
- Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient claims.
- Communicate with third-party representatives as necessary to complete claims processing and/or resolve problem claims by phone and website.
