What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Clerk position at River Valley Family Health Center?
River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for a Medical Records Clerk to join our team in Montrose or Olathe, CO. It is the responsibility of this position to provide consistent high-quality care to patients and evaluate the needs of patients at River Valley Family Health Center.
The Call Center Professional position is a part-time position; 20 hours per week, with variable hours. We are a growing, exciting place to work, serving our community in a variety of ways. Come join our team!
A day in the life of a Medical Record Clerk includes:
- Receiving and sending medical records.
- Processing faxes.
- Researching and requesting medical records from other providers, hospitals, laboratories, etc.
- Compiling medical records for disability claims, attorney requests, and any other outside clinic facilities.
- And so much more!
Compensation and Benefits
- $18.76 - $20.83/hour, depending on experience and certifications
- 401(k) Matching with participation after 90-days

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Bilingual skills is preferred.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
- Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
