Why are we looking to add an accountant?

As our company continues to experience significant growth, the volume and complexity of our financial operations have increased, making it essential to expand our accounting team. The addition of another accountant will ensure that we maintain accurate financial records, meet deadlines, and uphold compliance with evolving regulations.  This will ultimately allow us to sustain our growth while maintaining the high standards of financial oversight and reporting that our business requires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate daily and monthly accounting, as directed, including but not limited to: monthly general ledger reconciliation, monthly accruals, depreciation, A/P and A/R reports and statements, bank deposit preparation
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting principles.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits to verify stock levels and identify
• Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting key insights and
• Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with management to analyze financial performance and provide insights for decision-making.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for all transactions.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel to other Red Wing, MN locations on a daily basis
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 20lbs as required by this role
• Have a valid state driver’s license

Preferred:

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management
• Experience working in an automotive, marine, or power sports dealership environment is preferred.

Work Location: In-office

Salary: $60,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
