Description
The Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of the agency. This includes accounts payable, purchasing, account reconciliation, general ledger posting, and financial reporting. The Accountant works closely with the Financial Analyst and Accounting Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Manage vendor relations to ensure timely payment.
- Data entry of refunds checks, verification of entry, and submit to Accounting Specialist for approval and payment processing.
- Create monthly invoices for all Housing programs and agency rent payments.
- Completes the monthly reconciliation of agency credit cards and prepares for payment.
- Completes purchasing of agency office and janitorial supplies and other items as directed by the Accounting Specialist II or requested by others.
- Prepare trend analysis for expense accounts.
- Create and report data from accounting software.
- Prepare and report monthly reconciliation of benefits.
- Review and reconcile all general ledger accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and insure that any items of concern are cleared and or brought to the attention of the CFO.
- Routinely complete accounting related functions and reports.
- Reconcile the bank statement to General Ledger accounts and reconcile any discrepancies, and report to CFO all unusual or critical information.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Two years of experience in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Experience in health care or nonprofits is preferred.

Pay: $27.33 - $33.48 per hour. Compensation is based on years of experience.
