Marine Service Writer

River Valley Marine of Rochester is looking for a Marine Service Writer to join one of the Top 10 Marine Dealers in North America. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, motivated, eager to learn, has a ‘customer first’ (a good customer listener) personality to fit our culture of selling FUN marine products. What You’ll do

• Answer Phone Calls, Emails and Walk-In’s to address any customer concern with the highest level of attention and response
• Return missed phone calls, emails in a timely manner.
• Accurately recording of issues and data into the Dealer Management System – LightspeedEVO
• Communicate estimated repair time and pricing in a professional interaction
• Coordinate the completion of the repair with the Shop and other Service team members
• Coordinate the drop-off/pick-up of customer units
• Follow up with customer on services provided; ensure they are satisfied with the work performed

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a customer service role is required
• Understanding of basic marine product knowledge is a plus
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new and innovative technologies
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
• Work in a team-based environment to achieve common goals
• High School diploma or equivalent, some college is a plus
• Dealership (powersport, RV, automotive, heavy equipment, etc) experience is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint) is a plus
• Lightspeed Evo experience is a plus

Hours:
M-F 8:30am-6pm (doors open to the public 9am-6pm) *Saturdays during peak seasons rotating with other service admin

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: Competitive base salary $40,000 - $45,000 DOE healthy commission structure (anticipated earnings of $60,000 - $80,000/annually).
