Marine Technician

River Valley Power Sport and Marine is looking to add an additional technician to the Rochester Marine Service Department. Ideal Candidate is energetic, has an out-going personality to fit our culture and enjoys repairing FUN outdoor marine product.   

Current Product Lines: Sea Doo PWC, Sea Doo Switch, Alumacraft, Yamaha (boat, outboard and PWC), Bennington, Cobalt, Chris Craft, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Centurion

What You’ll do

• Service new and used marine product by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing
• Set up and run up new marine product
• Complete routine service inspections and maintenance
• Major engine, drive-train, other related repairs
• Install accessories that enhance the durability, functionality and appearance of the marine product
• Utilizing available equipment to move marine product in and out of service bay
• Work closely with the service team to ensure a timely work completion

What You’ll Bring

• Basic tool set and tool box is required (company will provide any necessary special tools)
• Previous marine mechanics or experience is preferred but not required 
• Manufacturer certification is a bonus
• Detail orientated and takes pride in a job done right
• Ability to work independently
• Forklift experience is a bonus but will train if needed
• Supervisor problem-solving skills
• Some computer skills are required

Compensation: WILLING TO PAY UP TO $40/hour! This is based on experience, certifications, and qualifications of applicant (This position has potential to be the highest paid technician in the market!) Pay structure is a base hourly wage piecework/commission based on efficiency.

Schedule: We offer fulltime work 52 weeks out of the year (4:10's off season and 5: 8-10's in season). Most work 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (5 8s) or 6am-4 or 7am-5 (4 10s)
