Powersport Technician

River Valley Power Sport and Marine is looking to add an additional technician to the Red Wing Powersports Service Department. Ideal Candidate is energetic, has an out-going personality to fit our culture and enjoys repairing FUN outdoor on-road/offroad powersports product.   

Current Product Lines: BRP (Can-Am, Ryker, Spyder, Sea Doo, Ski Doo), Polaris (slingshot, snowmobile, ATV, UTV), Suzuki (ATV / Motorcycle), Yamaha (PWC)

What You’ll do

• Service new and used powersport product by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing
• Set up and run up powersport product
• Complete routine service inspections and maintenance
• Major engine, drive-train, other related repairs
• Install accessories that enhance the durability, functionality and appearance of a powersport product
• Utilizing available equipment to move powersport product in and out of service bay
• Work closely with the service team to ensure a timely work completion

What You’ll Bring

• Basic tool set and tool box is required (company will provide any necessary special tools)
• Previous powersport mechanics or experience is preferred but not required 
• Manufacturer certification is a bonus
• Detail orientated and takes pride in a job done right
• Ability to work independently
• Forklift experience is a bonus but will train if needed
• Supervisor problem-solving skills
• Some computer skills are required

Schedule: We offer fulltime work 52 weeks out of the year. Most work 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (5 8s) 

Compensation: is based on experience and education. Average earners = $30-32 per hour. Superior/Senior performance Average = $40 per hour or a full range of $63,000-85,000 /annual. The structure is a healthy base pay per hour plus an hourly billable incentive commission.
