General Responsibilities:
The job of an IT Technician will troubleshoot and maintain RVPCS network systems.

Report to: IT Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Maintains network systems, installs new hardware, and modifies existing hardware, and related network software and applications.
- Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
- Communicate with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems,
- Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function and minimal downtime.
- Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
- Collaborates with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
- May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.
- A , Network , and/or similar certifications are highly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Excellent workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
