Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, with the ability to read blueprints and execute projects with precision. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties
- Prepare and set up concrete forms according to specifications.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete and various substrates using various tools and equipment.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools to achieve desired texture and appearance.
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and laborers, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles related to construction processes is an asset.
- Experience with concrete, resins,flooring, polyurethane coatings or renovation projects is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
