Accounting Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. Some of your responsibilities will include organizing, analyzing, and verifying our various financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. In addition, this role will analyze and reconcile general ledgers for various accounts as assigned and process ACH, drafts, and wires.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks including data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper accounting of all transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Symitar.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and technical accounting principles.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Previous experience in accounting is advantageous.
