Requirements : What you will do :
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Conduct training and presentations for environmental, health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
- Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal governmental permits, reports and documentation (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)
- Inspects facility, equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions and environmental risks.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims in partnership with Human Resources.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and / or pollutants, as required.
- Ability to demonstrate our company values in everyday work interactions.
- All other duties as assigned.
