Overview:
We are seeking a determined and detail-oriented Business Development (Analyst) to join our team. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, assisting in deal sourcing, and building relationships with intermediaries, industry experts, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping build firm infrastructure, including relationships with technology partners to better serve our investors and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and sourcing new investment opportunities through various channels, such as maintaining relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and advisors, and networking
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential investments by researching industries and companies that align with the firm's investment criteria
- Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, brokers, advisors, and other external stakeholders
- Engage with management teams, industry experts, and other key contacts to gather valuable insights on potential deals
- Maintain and update the firm’s CRM system or other databases with relevant information about potential deals, contacts, and activities.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track deal flow, progress, and market trends.
- Assist in the initial screening of investment opportunities by evaluating financials, business models, and strategic fit with the firm’s investment objectives
- Work closely with team members to assess risks and returns of potential deals
- Support the due diligence process by coordinating with internal and external teams to gather relevant data, conduct research, and assess the feasibility of investment opportunities.
- Help prepare due diligence reports and presentations for investment committees
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial analysis, research skills, and understanding of financial modeling (Excel proficiency)
- Proficiency in using databases, CRM systems, and presentation tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Aptly handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or related field.
