Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct prescribed individual and group counseling sessions in a positive, therapeutic manner.
- Develop and implement individual education plan (IEP) goals individualized to the student while developing and updating behavior/treatment plan.
- Maintain student confidentiality per agency policy. FERPA/HIPAA privacy rule and regulation, and student/ counselor confidentiality.
- Oversee therapeutic confidentiality between staff and students and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the relationship
- Maintain daily logs with services provided in relationship to IEP guidelines and complete various reports as directed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Counselor, Therapist or Social Worker.
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for Special Education, demonstrated by patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed.
