Audio Visual Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Audio Visual Supervisor at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Casino’s audio, video, control, and lighting systems. This role includes overseeing all AV equipment, managing event-planning logistics, and coordinating with vendors and the internal team to ensure seamless execution of AV services for casino events. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AV technology, event coordination, and leadership in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage upkeep of portable AV equipment and systems.
- Oversee preventative maintenance for audio, video, control, and lighting systems across the casino
- Research and stay updated on emerging AV technologies and applications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event planning meetings, walk-throughs, and coordination with the sales team.
- Conduct floor walks to ensure AV systems are functioning as designed and take corrective actions when needed.
- Assist in preparing the AV operational budget for review.
- Support the maintenance and scheduling of the local band and DJ calendar.
- Perform pre-event walkthroughs with specialists to verify AV equipment according to the Banquet Event Order.
- Monitor and adjust AV quality during events as needed.
- Oversee setup and teardown for on-site and off-site events.
- Assist with entertainment setup, performance, and teardown.
- Manage scheduling and coordination with external vendors, including sound companies and crew for optimal event execution.
- Maintain and schedule Audio Visual Specialist staff.
- Prepare AV rental quotes for the sales team.
- Maintain a list of freelance event technicians for potential event staffing needs.
- Assist with scheduling crew for banquets and other casino events.
- Build and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) catalog for AV systems.
- Lead crew on event days to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain inventory of all AV equipment and systems.
- Create system design, procurement lists, and pricing structures for client budget planning.
- Possess working knowledge of video production and editing.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- At least three years of experience in the audio-visual field.
- Minimum of one year of experience planning events with specific AV needs.
- Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software applications.
- Solid understanding of information technology fundamentals.
- Previous experience in cabling for audio and video systems.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members, clients, and guests.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening processes.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Certifications:
- Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
