Job Summary :
Under minimal supervision, performs diversified duties required to install, move, and maintain all infrastructure equipment and servers that support the various users and systems across the Corporation’s properties. Works with the Systems Administrators to assist with the design and maintenance of both network equipment and servers. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Rivers Casino - Portsmouth’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Complete work requests as directed by the Manager of Technology Services regarding installation of systems, voice / data network connections and coordinating work with users.Receive and respond to incoming calls and / or requests regarding problems with systems and voice / data network connections.Create and update all documentation relating to systems, network equipment, and user locations.Perform routine preventative maintenance for all server and network infrastructure equipment and works with the Manager of Technology Services and peers to resolve issues.Work with the IT Security department to administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the infrastructure.Maintain a working knowledge and practical application of information security principles and practices as they relate to their job responsibilities. Proactively assess potential risks and vulnerabilities within the environment.Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Rivers Casino - Portsmouth Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.Must complete all required Rivers Casino - Portsmouth Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.Attend all necessary meetings.Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.Other duties may be assignedMinimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Must be 21 years of age or older upon employment.Associate degree or experience equivalent to the completion of four (2) years of college coursework in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field or equivalent work experience.One (1) to three (3) years work experience with Desktop Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems, and Basic Networking Concepts.A and Network Certification from CompTIA are required.Experience in telecommunications or convergence environments preferred.Previous experience providing IT support in a 24-hour operational environment preferred.Experience with wiring schemes including optic fiber preferred.Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8 &10.Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 20xx.Experience with Linux Server Operating Systems is preferred.Previous experience working in VMware Virtualization Software is preferred.Previous customer service experience preferred.Language Skills and Reasoning Ability :
