What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Administrative Assistant position at Rivers Dentistry?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Register patients, ensuring all necessary information is obtained with attention to detail
- Answer phone calls and provide information to patients answer questions, schedule appointments
-Follow up with all canceled and rescheduled appointments - actively auditing the schedule daily and maintaining a full and productive schedule
-Manage insurance aging reports and create proper financial reports for Dr. Rivers
-Track patient aging accounts and manage collections reports
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
-Audit insurance claim submissions
-Present treatment plans and the various payment plans offered
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Provide patients with information about treatment options, financing options, schedule treatement
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a front desk agent or in a similar customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Ability to operate phone systems and other office equipment
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Skills:
- Proofreading: Attention to detail is essential for reviewing documents, forms, and patient information for accuracy.
- Organizational: Ability to keep track of multiple tasks, appointments, and schedules.
- Calendar management: Proficiency in managing schedules, appointments, and reservations.
- Clerical: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Google Suite: Familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar for document creation, data management, and scheduling.
- Event planning: Assist in organizing hotel events or conferences.
- Computer literacy: Proficiency in using computers for various tasks such as data entry, email communication, and document processing.
- Phone systems: Ability to operate multi-line phone systems and handle incoming calls professionally.
- Project coordination: Assist with coordinating projects or tasks as assigned by management.
