What are the responsibilities and job description for the (SE) RCC STUDENT AIDE I (Student Food Services Worker) position at Riverside Community College District?
Performs a variety of unskilled clerical &/or manual duties for a specific work area. Work is performed under close supervision. Work is assigned and student receives detailed instruction. No experience at all is required. Job details are learned from supervisor or classified staff members

The ability to carry out oral and written directions, speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed for the position described.

Must possess a valid Riverside County food handler certificate. ($27.00 reimbursable fee upon hire. (See Student Employment for details)
Must pass required immunizations and physical examination.
A negative TB Risk Assessment through Student Health Services Required. If it is determined there is a risk, a negative TB skin test will be required. ($10 reimbursable fee through Health Services or you can go through your primary doctor. If a co-pay is required through your primary doctor we will reimburse up to $10 if you provide a receipt. TB X-Rays are not reimbursable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists in the kitchen to prepare menu items according to established recipes.
2. Assists in setting up and serving hot food, cold food, beverages and all related items in established portions and according to menu requirements.
3. Assists in transporting food to work station or location.
4. Assists with food storage, proper rotation, dating of received goods for all food and non-food supplies.
5. Assists by washing pots, pans, and other equipment and maintains kitchen prep areas in a clean and sanitary environment and according to all established policies set by department and by the local health department.
6. Assists in ensuring all foods are served and stored in compliance with safety and sanitary regulations.
7. Provide excellent customer service.
8. Operates and maintains food service equipment; including point of sale system.
9. Performs other related duties as required.

Jobs are only available for RCC students who are enrolled at least 1/2 time and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. RIVERSIDE CITY COLLEGE MUST BE YOUR HOME COLLEGE AND MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY GRANT FROM THE FAFSA FOR 2023-2024
