The purpose of the School Nurse is to perform under general supervision school nurse services for preschool and school age students; provide a variety of health assessments, screening services, and other duties as required. The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.

At least six months of acute care and/or hospital experience is required. Previous experience in a community health or school agency highly desirable but not required.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s degree desirable.
CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California and a Service Credential with specialization in health school nurse.
• Valid California Driver’s License may be required.

Salary : $62,245 - $123,741
