Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Business Office Supervisor for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? As the Business Office Supervisor of an ambulatory surgery center, you will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the business office. This entails financial analysis and management, cash flow, billing and collections. Your goal is to supervise the flow of work with your team and contribute to the success of the business by meeting/exceeding established goals.
What you will do in this role:
- You will supervise registration, medical records, accounts receivable, accounts payable, scheduling, insurance verification and collections
- Monitor and analyze reports for your center and oversee the operational success of the business office
- You will supervise the work flow and reassign your staff as workload demands
- You will evaluate registration, insurance verification and cash posting to determine the integrity of data input
- You will conduct staff meetings and provide guidance and feedback to strengthen your team
- Communicate with the physicians at your center in regard to patient scheduling, registration and insurance verification
- You will oversee center managed care contracts with third party payers including Medicare and Medicaid
What you should have for this role
- Bachelors degree in Business or Health Care Administration desired, extensive or relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience
