Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the daily interactions with clients, maintaining patient schedule, headcounts and 24-hour observation of client activities and locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Maintains daily observations of clients at various levels of care at the required time intervals
● Conduct all interactions in a professional and ethical manner.
● Follows facility regulations regarding infections control, incident reporting and risk management.
● Conducts point of care testing such as urine drug screens, pregnancy tests and breathalyzer
● Conduct on person body searches of all new clients during time of admissions
● Conducts searches of all clients belongs.
● Attends all mandatory trainings and meetings.
● Maintains a safe environment for clients, visitors, and staff.
● Transports patients in approved vehicles to approved events.
● Navigate basic computer skills
Required Qualifications & Skills:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Valid Driver’s License with 3 years of clean driving
· At least 1 year of experience of working in the Behavioral Health field
· Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text
· Understanding of the variety of community support groups (AA, NA, ALANON, CODA, etc.)
· CPR Certification
· First Aid Certification
