This position has program administrative responsibility for either the Family Medicine, OB/GYN, Transitional or Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Works under the direct supervision of the Department Director of Graduate Medical Education. This position provides day-to-day management and direction of their residency training programs, educational and departmental activities to include administrative support of the Director of the Residency Program, faculty, chief residents and educational coordination between attending physicians, residents, medical students and institutional/regulatory administrative offices. The manager will continually assess, evaluate, and manage a wide range of programmatic responsibilities including long-term planning, resident recruitment, project development, workflow review, database management, faculty and resident communication regarding a variety of topics and issues, as well as internal and external program relations management. This position serves as an educational liaison between the program and attending physicians, residents and medical students, other specialty departments, outside institutions, GME offices and Medical Staff offices and ensures program compliance with accreditation agency standards.

What you will do
- Maintains expertise and working knowledge of Graduate Medical Education (GME) accreditation requirements. Establishes and maintains processes to monitor compliance of program requirements. Provides reports to the directors as required. Attends all required departmental meetings as outlined by the Program Director to ensure ACGME program compliance.
- Supports the Riverside Health System Code of Conduct and Compliance and Ethics program. Reports any potential compliance concerns to the appropriate person.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact professionally and courteously with faculty, residents, staff, students, and affiliates. Additionally, this position requires the ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
- Manages daily operational and administrative functions of the residency training program through collaboration with the Graduate Medical Education Administration, to include the management of training activities, evaluations, conferences and events, travel and outreach activities, graduation special events and marketing; direct recruitment efforts to include webpage information architecture, fielding candidate inquiries (July-June), Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application system (September-March), develops and manages interview schedules, oversees database management and online listings. Develops orientation activities and schedules for new and continuing residents. Demonstrates working understanding and adherence to the matching program process guidelines and maintaining IRIS contact for residencies, new innovations and registration of the Resident Matching program.
- Accountable for the budgeting activities of cost centers assigned. Assures documentation for reimbursement, including travel, is complete and accurate. Adheres to RHSpolicies regarding resource management. Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving and independent decision-making skills in budget development and forecasting, project development and event management, and training and development.
- Works as liaison between physicians and other departments, both internal and external to RHS while maintaining current Program Letters of Agreement/Letters of Agreement. Promotes a positive resident/intern/medical student experience that facilitates obtaining knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to practice independently and competently through successful completion of assigned rotations.
