As a Senior Accountant you will assist with preparing various journal entries and month-end closing processes, as well as daily treasury/banking activities for a multi-entity organization. Additional responsibilities will include financial statement reports and various analyses for presentation to management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy.
- Assisting with month-end close processes.
- Compiling data for various financial analyses and reports.
- Registration and preparation of federal, multi-state, local and other tax filings.
- Assisting in daily treasury and banking activities and reconciliations.
- Aiding the payables and receivables teams to process, record, and reconcile invoices and receipts.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of process improvements.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant work experience required.
- 5 years of accounting experience required.
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Strong Excel/Access skill set.
- Experience using various accounting software (Sage products preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an honest and ethical manner as well as always maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
