Construction Safety Manager (Bilingual - Spanish Required)

Job Overview
The Construction Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and health of all personnel on construction sites. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures that comply with OSHA regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, risk management, and occupational health, along with the ability to effectively communicate safety protocols to all team members.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to construction site operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction planning and execution.
• Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations, including workers' compensation laws.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries on construction sites.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction site safety practices.
• Proficiency in compliance management and risk management strategies within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with occupational health standards related to construction work environments.
• Experience using construction management software for tracking safety metrics and reporting.
• Ability to build effective relationships with team members at all levels while promoting a culture of safety.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex safety information clearly and effectively.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing proactive solutions to mitigate hazards.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards as they relate to construction projects is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
