RiverStone Group Inc. has a full-time position available for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Allied quarry in Milan, IL. Candidates must be dependable and available for overtime as needed. A typical work schedule for this position would be Monday – Friday, 5am to 1pm, though some variation to this should be expected depending on the needs of the location.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Candidate Requirements:
- Safety-Focused
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Vo-Tech Diesel Mechanic graduate preferred
- Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
Our ideal candidate would also possess experience welding and operating heavy equipment.
Major Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include:
- Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
- Maintain and repair all equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment may include front-end loaders, haul trucks, skid steers, etc.
- Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and repair needs, including proper documentation of such needs
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
