Responsibilities
Part-Time (.3 fte) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospital Inpatient
Location: Hospital InpatientPosition Status: .3 FTE (24 hours per pay period); Non-exempt subject to OT
Schedule: 24 hours per two-week pay period; must be able to work weekend schedule (every 6th weekend)
Pay Range: $22.29 - $31.21(based on experience)
River View Health has an opening for a LPN to RN position. What we are seeking in a candidate is a “flexible” LPN to cover various shifts supporting our Riverview Health patient care areas. This position is ideal for an LPN transitioning to RN practice, with opportunities to grow their clinical skills in a broad-scope setting while providing high-quality patient-centered care. This position will be responsible for:
- Delivering safe, effective nursing care under the direction of providers.
- Administering medications, immunizations, and treatments as directed.
- Coordinating patient care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Administering medications and perform treatments according to facility protocols and scope of practice.
- Responding to emergent situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
- Assisting inpatient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Maintaining compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum(s):
- Current LPN License – Minnesota
- American Heart CPR and ACLS certifications are required. Will provide training for ACLS but certification must be obtained within 4 months of employment.
Preferred(s):
- Experience in Obstetrics, Medical, Surgical or ICU
- Minimum of 1 year working in a healthcare setting
- EMR – Epic experience

- Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient
