We’re looking for dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our House for Hospice team, working around the clock to ensure that our clients and their families feel cared for and at ease. As a Support Care Aide, your role will be essential to creating a comfortable, clean, and nurturing home-like atmosphere, where clients and their loved ones can focus on what truly matters.

The following benefits are offered to full-time employees (30 hours):

The following benefits are offered to both full and part-time employees (20 hours):

  • 403b Retirement plan options with company matching ranging from 1%-4% of the employee's contribution (full and part-time employees, 20 hours).
  • PTO is accrued per hour worked and accrual rates vary based on years of service completed.
  • Paid Holidays (10 days per calendar year) and paid sick leave.

Support Care Aide Job Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure rooms, bathrooms, and common areas remain tidy and hygienic, carrying out dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping as needed.
  • Laundry Services: Oversee all aspects of laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and personal items to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist in planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary needs and preferences and cooking or baking as needed.
  • Shopping and Stocking: Take responsibility for grocery shopping, keeping kitchen supplies, toiletries, and household essentials stocked and well-organized.
  • Household Management: Maintain a well-organized environment by managing inventory, ordering supplies, and keeping detailed expense records.
  • Compassionate Support: Provide a warm, empathetic presence for clients and families, engaging with them thoughtfully while respecting their privacy and confidentiality.

Support Care Aide Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions and complete work as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality about client services and personal information.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of nutrition and ability to follow dietary guidelines.
  • Basic skills in cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • A strong commitment to compassionate care and sensitivity to the needs of end-of-life clients and their families.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage household tasks and inventory efficiently and with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect warmly and respectfully with clients and their families.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time and part-time positions - flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous coverage.
  • Physical work environment involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
