Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clinic.
- Manage incoming phone calls, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle cancellations efficiently.
- Maintain patient records accurately using electronic health record systems
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and demographic updates.
- Handle incoming correspondence and manage office supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate patient flow and improve service delivery.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using phone systems and managing multi-line calls effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
- Experience with electronic health record systems is a plus.
