Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Grader Operator to join our team. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in the success of our projects, contributing to quality outcomes and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to our company’s core values.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment, primarily focusing on Motor Graders, but also including Dozers, Excavators, and other machinery as needed.
- Perform grading, leveling, and other earth-moving tasks to support construction and roadwork projects.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner, adhering to project schedules and specifications.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the equipment to ensure it's in good working condition.
- Operate compact equipment (such as skid steers, mini excavators) when required.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety regulations, and reporting any hazards or equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow on the jobsite.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Motor Graders and other heavy construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical strength to control machinery and remain stationary for extended periods.
- Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary.
