Surgical Supply Clerk

About the Position:

Responsible for inventory needs and support for the surgical services department. Plays a critical role in ensuring all surgical materials and supplies are available, accurate, and ready for use.

This is a long-term temporary position.

What we are looking for:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED,

• Basic computer skills,
• Prior experience in purchasing, inventory management or as a Surgical Aide preferred.
• Valid driver's License required
• Must be able to work directly with the surgical and ambulatory staff to provide products for patients and surgical cases.
• Must be flexible, able to prioritize tasks and respond to staff needs with exceptional customer service.

SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret work related documents such as supply lists, workflows and material requisitions.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• General basic math skills and the ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Good reasoning skills, the ability to strategically carry out instructions. Good problem-solving skills while working with several variables in a standardized situation.
