Job Title: Data Analyst

Introduction:

Rivet Operations Company is seeking a mission-focused Data Analyst to join our team supporting NGB A5/8. The role focuses on leveraging data science and advanced statistical methods to generate actionable insights that inform national-level decision-making and future planning for the Air National Guard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, structure, and analyze large datasets related to planning, programming, budgeting, and execution activities.
• Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate trends and highlight operational gaps.
• Conduct rigorous evaluations of national strategic issues and provide analytical recommendations tailored for senior DoD leadership.
• Track and manage tasks within ETMS 2, ensuring timely status updates, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Provide input on annual planning documents including the ANG Strategic Master Plan (SMP), DANG’s Planning Choices, and Programming Guidance.
• Analyze ANG force structure, basing, and mission conversions in alignment with DANG priorities.
• Support Total Force Integration (TFI) efforts by preparing business case analyses and cost-effectiveness evaluations.
• Assist in developing and refining ANG strategic planning and decision tools such as GMAP.
• Prepare background papers, decision briefs, and executive summaries to support congressional engagements and senior-level forums.
• In addition, the position may require occasional travel for in-person meetings or briefings, carrying technical equipment or printed reports, and extended periods of concentration in a secure work environment.

Compensation Minimum: $79,075.00

Compensation Maximum: $93,030.00

Job Requirements:

Education, Experience, Skills:

• Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies or Statistical/Analytical Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a data-intensive role.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, data interpretation, and strategic policy analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of Air Force doctrine, planning processes, and defense funding mechanisms.

Clearance Requirement:

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance requirement for the position.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
