Role Summary
As a New Market Launch Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in developing and managing a high-performing team to successfully execute targeted projects and market launches. You will focus on coaching and training team members, ensuring smooth workflows, and supporting the execution of launch events. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a collaborative and growth-focused team environment.

Team Development & Leadership:
Salary Range California and Maryland Based Applicants: $70,000-$85,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range Illinois Based Applicants: $64,000-$77,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
Team Development & Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Launch Specialists, providing coaching and hands-on support.
- Foster a team culture focused on growth, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Identify skill gaps and provide training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Set clear goals and expectations, ensuring each team member understands their role in launch execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for team concerns, providing guidance and resolving challenges proactively.
- Oversee small-scale projects and market launches, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and meet company standards.
- Coordinate and track project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with specialists to execute site readiness, event setup, and operational tasks.
- Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and updated as needed.
- Observe and refine team workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper setup, scheduling, and execution of launch-related tasks.
- Provide feedback on operational processes and recommend improvements to leadership.
- Monitor performance metrics to track project success and team development progress.
- Ensure that team members are trained to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee documentation and field inquiries during launches.
- Assist in troubleshooting field concerns and ensuring a smooth handover process.
- 5 years of leadership in operations, project management, and new site launches.
- Passion for team development, coaching, and training.
- Strong organizational and small-scale project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator and problem solver with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, or retail teams.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time and support customers on nights and weekends, as well as travel overnight
