Role Summary
The Field Service Readiness Specialist will work in coordination with our Field Service, Delivery & Field Operations, Retail, Brand, and Fleet teams to facilitate launching new locations and help manage on site vehicle prep. You will collaborate with team members on the ground to ensure events run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Support launch activities at upcoming Service Centers
- Set up equipment, tooling, workstations, and appliances
- Assemble furniture, fixtures, racking and storage units as per the design plan
- Conduct inventory for tooling and equipment
- Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment
- Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism
- Resolve on-site issues promptly to keep the setup process on schedule, escalate issues to a supporting supervisor
- Complete final quality checks
- Complete your work with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and embrace challenging situations with a results focused mentality
- Prepare the site for handover to the operations team
- Support local service centers during weeks without launch activities - approximately 2 weeks per month
- Answer phone calls, emails, and drive-ins to address any customer concern with the highest level of response and attention; identify solutions to reduce customer impact
- Perform detailed daily record keeping in the operating system
- Conduct payment, invoicing, and estimate transactions within Rivian systems; walk our customers through a summary of all transactions
- Support with ordering, receiving, pre pulling, returns and shipping of parts
- Utilize a forklift in required areas for transporting and organization of parts
- Develop understanding of the Rivian Warranty manual - find definitions, terms and use cases for each type
- Additional responsibilities as requested from the business
- 2 years' of experience with service, operations, logistics, or lot management; previous EV or detailing experience a plus
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Working knowledge with computers and software including Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from)
- No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period; Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
- Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable in your state
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on level of importance and urgency
- Ability to work autonomously and consistently with limited direction
- Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in a full service retail center or unpredictable weather conditions
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
- Strong understanding of written and spoken English
- Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics
